Jacob Marcovitz is a REALTOR® with Keller Williams Realty East Idaho, based in Idaho Falls. He helps buyers and sellers across Eastern Idaho, especially Idaho Falls, Ammon, and nearby communities, and works often with Idaho National Laboratory relocators and new-construction buyers. Reach him at 208-821-6217 or eastidahojacob.com.

Who I am

I’m Jacob Marcovitz, a licensed Idaho real estate agent with Keller Williams Realty East Idaho. My market is Eastern Idaho: Idaho Falls and Ammon first, plus the towns families actually consider when they move here, Rigby, Shelley, Iona, Ucon, Rexburg, Blackfoot, Island Park, and the rest of the Snake River Plain corridor.

My website is eastidahojacob.com. My cell is 208-821-6217. Email: Jacob@EastIdahoJacob.com. The Keller Williams East Idaho office I work from is at 3525 Merlin Drive, Idaho Falls, ID 83404.

I also run the YouTube channel Living In East Idaho (@eastidahojacob), where I cover cost of living, neighborhoods, schools, and what daily life here actually feels like for people moving from out of state.

Who I help

Most of the people who find me fall into a few buckets:

INL relocators. If you just accepted an offer at Idaho National Laboratory (or you’re still deciding), you need housing answers that match the Site commute, school choices, and a market that looks nothing like the Bay Area, Seattle, Knoxville, or Albuquerque. Start with my Idaho National Laboratory Relocation Guide.

Out-of-state buyers. Buying from another state means remote showings, local inspections, and a timeline that respects your start date. I walk that process in How to Buy a Home in Idaho Falls as an Out-of-State Relocator.

New-construction buyers. Eastern Idaho still has active builders. I show new communities and plans as listings I sell, including Odyssey Homes in places like Ammon (Granite Creek, Hawks Landing) and Shelley (The Parks). Odyssey Homes is a builder whose inventory I help clients buy; it is not my employer. My brokerage is Keller Williams Realty East Idaho.

Local buyers and sellers. If you already live here and you’re trading up, downsizing, or listing, same rule: clear communication, local comps, and a plan that fits your timeline.

Where I work

Primary focus:

  • Idaho Falls (Bonneville County): city proper, established neighborhoods near the Snake River Greenbelt, and newer south/west subdivisions
  • Ammon: east of Idaho Falls; popular with families who want newer housing and a short hop into town
  • Satellite towns: Iona, Ucon, Rigby (Jefferson County), Shelley, and other East Idaho communities when they fit commute, schools, or budget

If your search spans more than one town, we pick the town first (schools and commute), then the house.

How I work with relocators

Whether your timeline is nine days or ninety, I treat relocation like a project:

  1. Clarify the job start date, school needs, and buy-vs-rent preference
  2. Map neighborhoods against the INL Highway 20 corridor and daily life in town
  3. Tour in person or remotely (FaceTime / Zoom walkthroughs are normal here)
  4. Write clean offers, manage inspections, and keep you updated without fluff

You do not need to “know the market” before we talk. That is the point of the first call.

Start here

If you are mid-INL offer letter, send me your start date and whether you have kids in school. We will narrow towns in one conversation.
