About Platinum prices: Platinum doesn't give a price per square foot; its FAQ says no two builders calculate it the same way. It builds an itemized budget with you from bids before construction starts. Its inquiry form's budget choices start at $500k–$750k and go up to $1.5 million-plus, excluding the lot (as of Sep 2026).
Platinum Construction was founded by Cody Fresh in 2005. It builds only 5 to 15 custom homes a year so it can spend more time on each one, per its website, and uses a cost-plus pricing plan.
Most Platinum homes are one-of-a-kind designs drawn with a draftsman, though it has more than 20 plans on file. Platinum's in-house design help is included at no charge, and it will walk a lot with you to flag drainage, septic and well, foundation and driveway questions. It doesn't fund projects in-house, so you'll need a construction loan from a lender you choose. Its FAQ estimates 4 to 6 weeks for design and 4 to 6 months of construction from excavation to final inspection; homes over 6,000 sq ft take about 6 weeks longer per extra 1,000 finished sq ft. Platinum offers a 12-month warranty on craftsmanship.
Most custom builders don't own lots in a community, so the first step is usually finding your lot, and Jacob can help with that.
Platinum builds custom homes on its clients' land in the Idaho Falls area rather than selling homes in its own communities.
