Yorkside is one of the newer neighborhoods on the south side of Idaho Falls. Development began around 2008, and new divisions have continued to extend the neighborhood south. Today you reach it from Holmes Avenue through the Avalon neighborhood entrance, or from 49th South through neighboring Southpoint or Sunterra. Local guides expect a main entrance on 65th South (York Road) as Yorkside keeps growing.
Homes are typically one- or two-story designs with full basements, three-car garages and fenced yards, built by a variety of builders. Because Yorkside is still filling in, you can find homes built a decade ago next to much newer construction. There is a homeowners’ association—ask for the covenants and current dues for the specific address you like.
